The Hideo Sasaki Foundation works to advance equity in design.

Design impacts every aspect of our lives. And yet, access to design — for communities who need it the most — is often limited. We’re working to change that. We engage students in career exploration to diversify the design profession. We support community-based organizations with funding and access to designers. We amplify voices through events and discussions around design. And we need your help!

The Hideo Sasaki Foundation was established in 2000 to carry on the legacy of internationally renowned landscape architect Hideo Sasaki. In 2018, we launched new programming with a renewed vision. Since then, we have...

  • introduced 790+ students to careers in design through our design education programs
  • awarded $368,500 to community-led projects through the Design Grants
  • hosted 220+ events connecting communities and design professionals
